How to play · Section 7 of 9
Out past the last street there are glowing arches. Walk through one and you are somewhere else entirely — a small game with its own rules, its own scoring, and coins to bring home.

Two of the arches stand out on the mountain side of the city, out on the flat ground beyond the last buildings. The third is easier: it stands in one of the city's own parks, in whatever clear ground the park left in the middle. (If your city has no park — a blank canvas, or an imported map — that one falls back out to the plains edge instead, so it is never simply missing.)
Walk up to an arch as a citizen and a card tells you what is behind it: what the game is, how long a run lasts, and what it pays. Walk through the arch to go in.
More arches may appear as more games are wired in; the city puts up an arch for each one that is.
A run ends when the game says it does — the timer runs out, or the last hole is holed. You get a report of what you did and the coins it earned, and you are set down again just outside the arch you went in by.
Leave always works. It is Trip City's button, not the game's, so it gets you out even if the game inside has stopped answering. Nothing you leave early is lost that was already banked.
